Everything you should know about PawTex®

PawTex is a newcomer to our webbing range, which until now only included PVC coated webbing, Hexa and BioThane. PawTex is also ideal, as a replacement for leather, for making dog collars and leads or equestrian gear such as halters. In this blog, we elaborate on the properties of PawTex.

What is PawTex?

PawTex is webbing with a strong polyester core and a PVC coating. PawTex therefore has the same construction as BioThane and PVC coated webbing. Our webbing is often used to make dog collars, dog leads, harnesses, halters or bridles. The polyester core ensures the high breaking strength and the colored PVC finish makes the webbing user-friendly: you don't see any wear and you easily clean it from water and mud, for example.

Why coated webbing?

Webbing is an ideal vegan substitute for leather. When choosing between webbing or leather, there are several things to consider, such as contact with water. Want to read more about the differences and similarities in use between leather and webbing? Then read this blog on everything you need to know about BioThane.

Why PawTex?

PawTex is known for its good price/quality ratio. Moreover, with its REACH certificate, you can be assured that PawTex contains no harmful substances. It is an excellent choice if you are looking for webbing with a fine hand feel and flexibility. In addition, with PawTex we add unique matt colors to our range, which are easy to combine with nylon paracord.

Which color of paracord matches PawTex?

You might be wondering which paracord colors best match our new PawTex colors. We've tried to make it as easy as possible for you: for some colors, if the color name matches, the color also matches. Unfortunately, this is not true for all colors, so we have made a chart for you. That's easy if you want to make a stylish dog collar in one color, but with different materials.
